GLIDOS OpenGLide Wrapper
Another often used wrapper, Open GLide v009rc5

Texture Memory Setting - Rebs
Rens
- Setting the Texture Memory is very
important, as well as other key setting. These can be done
easily with Notepad, or Wordpad. Simply open 'OpenGLid.ini',
and set the following parameters:
[Options]
EnableMMX=0
CreateWindow=0
InitFullScreen=1
EnableMipMaps=0
IgnorePaletteChange=1
EnableFog=1
EnablePrecisionFix=1
EnableWrap565=0
EnableMultiTextureEXT=0
EnablePaletteEXT=1
EnablePackedPixelsEXT=0
EnableVertexArrayEXT=0
EnableSecondaryColorEXT=0
EnableFogCoordEXT=1
TextureMemorySize=4 - the lower the number
(by 2) the worse the FPS
WrapperPriority=3
FrameBufferMemorySize=16
Other settings that are often wrong:
wrapperpriority = 2 // minimum 2 or sound
might start to stutter
enablemipmaps = 0 // or suffer fps hit.
mipmaps are not used, anyway
ignorepalettechange=1 // if you suffer fps
hit with 'sun glare' (AFM)
Also....
Terrains
in the sky? And standing up?
Changes in the OpenGLid.ini file for Rb3D:
IgnorePaletteChange = 1
EnableMipMaps = 0
TextureMemorySize = 4 (2 to )
FrameBufferMemorySize = 16 (max)
It also helps if you have access to PCI settings in your Video advanced
settings to change the Frame Buffer size to 16 there also.
ATI Radeon card users need to switch sun glare off (does not work in MMP,
is a server setting)
most servers run NFM, not likely to be much of a problem.
- Version -
another key
factor to performance. Version 007b4
is the best suited for
Red Baron, and can be checked by simply opening the OpenGLid.ini
file and looking at the version number.
- The sum of
TextureMemorySize and
FrameBufferMemorySize must not exceed the amount of actual ram on
your board.
