17 Dec 03 Hell's Angels Gold v.II Introduction -------------------------------------- Welcome to the skies over Europe in this new update of OvS's Hell's Angels. Bringing the best of of Red Baron's Community together, HA is the working archive of some old and some new from many artists. Taking over 2 years to produce, HA brought together artwork that otherwise would never have been seen. This patch will bring you a satisfying, knuckle tightening experiance unlike one never seen before in a patch for Red Baron 3d. A one-time install, HA will update many aspects of the original game, to including: ---------- SWWISA quality airplane models Flight Model by Greybeard Damage Model by Zintek Several hundred new skins, all old ones reworked Several new German and Entente aces More intense ground fire/2-seater gunners New squadrons Sounds Vehicle models Plus a ton of other stuff Certain aspects of HA are extremely accurate, and other are all my imagination at work. Kindly take note of that idea as you play. Many points of WWI avaition history were lost or not documented well enough to prove right or wrong, so if there are inaccuracies, so be it. I wanted atmosphere and emmersion in this patch, so in certain places... I stretched the truth a little... ;) Install ------------------------------------- It's simple. Now that you have the self-installer running, simply point it at the directory that you have RB installed to and let it go to work. It may take a few minuets, so sit back, read the paper, and relax. Once completed, you may play HA immeadeatly, no other configurations are required. If you like, you may download the scenery of you choice, however, it is best to load certain screnery patches like Rens, the original Promised Land Super Patch (not FCJ) and Rabu's OTE set first, then load HA over them. Using this method will assure complete compatability. Campaign Manager 1.1 can be used with HA, but is not neccessary. Please visit the Hell's Angels site for more info on how to use CM11 with HA. If you have D/L'd the zip version.... Create a new folder on your desktop called 'simpatch' unzip all zip files into that folder go to your redbaron3d\data folder and delete the folder named 'simpatch' move the new folder you made to where the other folder was deleted from You're done! Please visit the HA site for more help and more detailed instructions. Issues ------------------------------------- HA is NOT compatable with Kess's Full Canvas Jacket, or Western Front Patch. PLease do not try to make them work together. I will not offer any help if you do. :) Contact ------------------------------------- If you experiance any troubles, would like assistance, you can post a message on the HA forum at www.jamrom.com\HA. There you will find many folks that are willing to help, including me. Also, check-out the Tips and Tricks page on the HA site. James Romano ovs@jamrom.com --------------------------- This patch is in no way associated with the famed motorcycle gang, Hell's Angels. The name was derived from the 1930's WWI movie by Howard Hughes. But hey, if it makes you feel cool, why not!
